African Book Box Society has supported the initiatives in Mufindi since 2007, and has focused on education, but has made incredible contributions to operating costs of the children's village, HIV access and health care. Mufindin Ystavat (Mufindinystavat.net) is a Finnish organization that was just formed in 2013 to help the projects in Mufindi. Funds from this organization help Dr. Leena Pasanen's work (medications and patient referrals) but the organization also supports many initiatives pertaining to education and overall childcare. We are excited for this young partnership to continue to bloom and continue to impact the lives of so many in Mufindi.
