One of the Mufindi Highlands Orphans
Project housemothers with some of her young charges.

Our mission is to provide shelter, sustenance, education, and medical care for orphans, other vulnerable children, and people living with HIV-AIDS within the project area; to curtail the spread of HIV-AIDS; to teach life skills (language, financial responsibility, academic achievement, vocational training, and self-sufficiency), and to create hope and opportunities for future generations.

Mufindi Highland Orphans Project (MHOP) is supported in part by Mufindi Orphans, Inc. (MOI), a non-profit organization set up and registered in the United States in 2005 to raise funds for combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic and the resulting orphans dilemma in Tanzania. MHOP also draws support from non-USA donors.
